No — and that’s completely normal for companionship services.

The CQC only regulates organisations that provide personal care, medical care, or nursing tasks.

Because we focus strictly on:

  • Social companionship
  • Light domestic help
  • Walking support
  • Appointment buddy support

…we operate fully within the CQC unregulated sector, exactly as UK law intends.

You still receive DBS‑vetted staff, strong safeguarding, and professional standards — just without the clinical elements that require CQC registration.

We’re happy to help keep your kitchen fresh and tidy after you’ve eaten.

This includes:

  • Washing up cups, plates, and saucers
  • Wiping and clearing countertops
  • Loading or unloading your dishwasher

We keep things clean, organised, and safe — without entering the regulated area of meal preparation.

We follow a strict safety‑first policy around food handling.

What companions cannot do

To protect clients and staff under UK food safety and insurance rules, companions are not permitted to:

  • Cook full meals
  • Handle raw ingredients
  • Prepare complex dishes
  • Use ovens or hobs for cooking
  • Create meals from scratch

These activities carry food‑safety risks and fall outside the scope of non‑regulated companionship services.
