Elderly Companion Services operates strictly as a provider of non-regulated social companionship, community integration, and light domestic assistance. Our business model is deliberately designed to exclude the delivery of “personal care” as defined under Schedule 1 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. Consequently, Crepee Vault Limited is not registered with, nor inspected by, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
2. Definitive Service Restrictions
To ensure absolute adherence to UK statutory boundaries, our personnel operate under strict operational prohibitions. Staff are legally and contractually forbidden from performing the following activities:
- No Personal Care Interventions: Staff will not assist with bodily hygiene, bathing, showering, toileting, skin care applications, oral care, dressing, or physical assistance with eating.
- No Medication Management: Staff will not handle, organise, prompt, or administer prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, or clinical supplements.
- No Clinical or Healthcare Tasks: Staff will not engage in physical health monitoring, wound dressing, medical diagnostic assessments, or blood glucose tracking.
3. Healthcare Environment Restrictions
Staff function strictly as social companions and “Appointment Buddies.”
- Personnel will comfortably escort clients to healthcare premises and assist with reception check-ins.
- Staff must remain in public waiting areas or communal lounges.
- Under no circumstances will staff enter private medical consulting rooms, treatment bays, or diagnostic clinics, ensuring patient-doctor confidentiality is maintained.
4. Other Household Restrictive Services
- No Meal Preparation: Staff are strictly prohibited from cooking, preparing, light preparation, heating, or handling ingredients for meals, snacks, or nutritional supplements.
- No Financial Irregularities: Staff must never accept cash gifts, borrow money, browse private paperwork, or use a client’s bank card. All financial invoicing is managed digitally by Crepee Vault Limited.
5. Light Domestic Support & Household Help
We take the stress out of daily chores by managing light household tasks to keep living environments tidy, safe, and comfortable.
- Kitchen Tidying: Washing up cups and saucers, clearing countertops, and loading or unloading the dishwasher after the client has eaten.
- Wardrobe Organization & Clothes Care: Utilising our company’s textile expertise to help sort, organise, declutter, and refresh seasonal wardrobes.
- General Tidying & Light Cleaning: Light dusting of surfaces, emptying indoor bins, watering houseplants, and keeping walkways clear of trip hazards, mopping and hoovering.
- Errand Assistance: Helping clients write shopping lists and walking alongside them to local Hyndburn markets or pharmacies.
TRANSIT & PUBLIC LIABILITY ENFORCEMENT POLICY
Purpose: Protects the parent company from transport law liabilities and insurance invalidation.
1. Absolute Prohibition of Private Vehicle Transit
For reasons of corporate liability, vehicle licensing regulations, and public safety, all employees of Crepee Vault Limited are strictly prohibited from transporting clients inside personal motor vehicles or unregistered company cars.
2. Permitted Transit Methods
Where a service requires travel support (such as attending local appointments or social hubs across Accrington and Hyndburn), transit is strictly restricted to:
- Accompanied travel on foot using safe pedestrian infrastructure.
- Accompanied transit as joint passengers on public transport networks (buses or trains).
- Accompanied transit inside licensed third-party commercial vehicles, such as local private hire taxis.
3. Financial and Booking Framework
All commercial fares, booking fees, and travel tickets must be funded and settled directly by the client or their representative. Crepee Vault Limited does not operate a private hire transport service and accepts no vehicular liability during transit.
